A special thing happened this week: Mark Justice and I began writing the third Dead Earth book, another novel this time. I think we’re off to a fine start and I look forward to the continuing adventures in a world overrun by the hungry dead, as filtered through our own twisted vision, of course; fortunately, we are twisted in a complementary fashion. There will be plenty more blood, scares and action for fans to look forward to--should be pretty cool! I’ll keep you posted here on our progress.
Speaking of Dead Earth, editor and author Nick Cato over at Anti-Bacterial Pope reviewed The Vengeance Road this week. Take a look at that here. Here’s a nice bite from the article:
"[...]THE VENGEANCE ROAD is a brain-smashing good time[...]."
Over at Page Horrific, you can look forward to an interview with thriller writer Jon Merz some time in the next few weeks. I’ve been reading an advanced copy of his new Lawson vampire novel The Kensei, and can assure you that it’s tons of fun for those who enjoy martial arts, vampires, action and adventure. I mean, what’s not to like, right? You’ll be able to pick it up January 18th, so keep an eye out, or just pre-order it online like all the other rabid Lawson fans do.
Doom metal has been crushing my skull these last few days, and a skull-crushing doesn’t come any sweeter than that! If you like heavy music like Black Sabbath used to make and haven’t checked out the latest Electric Wizard album Black Masses yet, you should definitely do so! Your skull will thank me later!
That’s all from me this week. Until next time, take care of yourself--and each other.
